Health & Safety policy

Pop Construction Ltd is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. We accept our responsibility for other persons who may be affected by our activities. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that our statutory duties are met and where possible, exceeded at all times.

 

It is the duty of management that all processes and systems of work are designed to take account of health and safety and are properly supervised at all times this is achieved with a commitment to safe working practices as regulated by the CDM Regulations 2007.

 

Each employee will be given such information, instruction and training as is necessary to enable the safe performance of work activities.

 

Competent individuals will be appointed to assist us in meeting our statutory duties including, where appropriate, specialists from outside the organisation.

 

The successful implementation of our Health and Safety Policy requires total commitment from all levels of employee / sub-contractor, from the boardroom to the labourer. Each individual has a legal, as well as a moral obligation to take reasonable care for his or her own health and safety, and for the safety of other people who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions.

 

It is the policy of the company to implement the prudent and practical health and safety strategy of the Major Contractors Group to achieve a qualified workforce, having all workers accredited with CSCS and CPCS skills card, formal site consultation arrangements and consistent safety and induction standards.

 

We have been an accredited member of “Safe Contractor UK” for several year, fulfilling annual audits to ensure we comply with new and existing legislation.

 

Across our workforce, our employees hold all of the following health and safety qualifications;  SMSTS, CSCS, CSPS, NRSWA, EUSR, NPORS with one of our managers currently studying the NEBOSH course to ensure we have in-house top level health and safety advice.
